1. Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities
- To plan, coordinate & ensure Overhead Catenary System (OCS) / Power Supply maintenance activities are in place and meet periodic requirements and procedures;
- To investigate and analyze on equipment failures ( OCS/P.Supply ) or incidents and suggest or implement procedure/solution to prevent re-occurrence;
- To liaise within KTMB internal department or outside party ( TNB, Local Authority etc. ) on
all aspect of safety while working on, close to or adjacent to KTMB Electrification System;
- To plan and coordinate Isolation or Switching activity for OCS/P.Supply maintenance to provide safe working condition in KTMB Electrification System;
- To control and manage spare parts inventory system for Electrification Department;
- To assist Senior Engineer in the day to day operations within the department concerned;
- Perform duties as assigned by General Manager/Senior Engineer
Requirements
? Possess Degree in Electrical Engineering ( majoring in Power Supply/Power Electronic )
? Below 30 years of age
? At least 5 year(s) of working experience in High/Medium Voltage System
? Knowledge and experience in Power SCADA System
? Fresh graduates with highly-self confident are encourage to apply
? Good written and oral communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English with an ability
to interact with all levels within the Company
? Sound knowledge in related standard operating procedures and process
? Highly motivated and able to work independently
? Familiar with technical drawing, engineering reports and engineering method statement
? Excellent presentation and problem solving skills
? Computer literate and well verse in MS Office
? Willing to be transferred
2. Mechanical Engineer
Responsibilities
-? Design and tendering activities, monitoring during the manufacturing, installation and tests stages, preparation of the operation and maintenance of EMUs;
- Attend to the technical meetings with the Suppliers when required;
- Follow up and check the interfaces between the new EMUs and other Systems;
- Coordinate with EMU Suppliers to ensure work progress is in line with the master program;
- Provide professional support and advice on manufacture issues and contractor performance to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of contractor programs;
- Responsible for the monitoring and reporting the site progress and any issue that might affect completion to schedule;
- During the design phase of EMU, checking and auditing of design documents and drawings provided by suppliers / contractors;
- During the manufacturing phase, monitoring of the works, factory and site inspections, reporting to the EMU Senior Manager in ensuring compliance with quality, cost and time;
- Coordinate with supplier in setting up test & commissioning procedures for all new EMU sets;
- Coordinating & contributing to the handover to the future all EMUs operation and maintenance entities.
Requirements:
- Engineering Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years of working experiences, Preferably 3 of which should be Rolling Stock and railway related;
- Full command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. Fluency in other additional language is a plus;
- Leadership, good communication skills, strong team work spirit, mature mind with proactive working attitude and easy adaptation in challenging environment. The demonstrated ability to build contacts, influence and negotiate;
- Proficient in MS OFFICE and quick learning of IT tools;
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 is a plus.
3. Electrical/Electronic Engineer
Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring that all communications system works in specific contract packages are implemented within established targets and budgets:-
- Assist the communication works including design, supply installation, testing and commissioning of the Communications Systems;
- Monitor the progress and performance of contractors and report any major deviation from set criteria to the Project Manager. Update/revise production monitoring schedule accordingly;
- Vet progress report submitted by contractors and consultants;
- Liaise closely with representatives from consultants and contractors. Assist in identifying solutions to address site problems;
- Assist in liaison with relevant Authorities on utilities, diversions, encumbrances, etc. as
required;
- Undertake site inspections of materials at suppliers' facilities.
- Co-ordinating and providing update information to Government Agencies such as Department of Railway (DOR), Railway Asset Corporation (RAC) and Ministry of Transport (MOT);
- Undertake other duties as directed by his Project Manager.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Electrical(Power Supply), or any equivalent qualification;
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Independent and able to work under pressure
- Self-directed with sensitivity to timelines
- Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office
- Posses good written and communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English
